Founded
over fifty years ago, Moog Inc. is a worldwide leader in precision motion
control products and systems. In an effort to expand floor space for their designer
and manufacturing departments, Moog Inc constructed a new split level, 57,000
square foot addition to their existing production facility.
The
addition is a steel framed structure with the floor construction consisting of
concrete slabs over composite metal deck supported by steel beams. The roof
construction consists of metal deck supported by steel bar joists. The
foundations for the steel structure are typical spread footings bearing on
virgin material. The lateral system of the structure consists of steel moment
frames in both directions.

Complete
structural engineering design for the entire structure including:
- Design of concrete
floors and roof deck.
- Design of structural
steel framing and steel moment frames for lateral stability.
- Design of spread
footing foundations.
