Description:
Located in the City of Niagara
Falls, the municipal complex is a 132,000 square foot dual purpose facility.
The three story portion of the building houses the district attorney's offices,
four courtrooms, judge's chambers and jury rooms. The two story section serves as
one of the City's police headquarters along with a CSI crime lab, the 911
dispatch center and the City's emergency operating center. In the basement
there is a state of the art shooting range and 53 prefabricated detention
cells.
The multi story structure is of
steel frame construction with concrete on metal deck supported floors.
Constructed off of concrete caissons extending down to bedrock, the building
utilizes steel moment frames as its lateral force resisting system.
